Recapping Field Hockey's 2-0 A-10 Weekend

The field hockey team recorded two huge Atlantic 10 victories over the weekend to take over first-place in the conference standings at 3-0. On Friday, the Minutewomen knocked off previously conference unbeaten Lock Haven, 2-1 at Garber Field. On Sunday, UMass travelled to defending A-10 champ Richmond and defeated the Spiders, 2-1 in overtime. Below is more coverage of the wins.

    The field hockey team (5-6), fresh off a 2-0 victory over No. 8 Syracuse last weekend, begins Atlantic 10 play this weekend when it hosts Saint Louis on Saturday night at Garber Field in a 6 p.m. start.

    The Daily Collegian's Michael Wood previews the matchup with the Billikens, including pointing out how players like Nicole Cordero and Nikki Panciocco have lifted their games as of late.
