Daily Hampshire Gazette: Battle 4 Atlantis Schedule

Connecticut men's basketball released its non-conference schedule for the coming season which includes a trip to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis, a tournament field that includes the Minutemen. The Nov. 24-26 event at the Atlantis Resort also includes Harvard, Florida State, Utah, College of Charleston, Central Florida, and UNC-Asheville.

The Hartford Courant,, Norwich Bulletin, and The UConn Blog all have coverage.
Travel Packages are now available for the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament on November 23-27 at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. After having traveled with the team the last time we played in the Bahamas, I can only imagine that the weather during that time will be much better there than here! Certainly a delightful way to spend Thanksgiving!

The Tournament features some great basketball teams including UMass and defending national champion Connecticut. Florida State, Harvard, UCF, Utah, the College of Charleston, and UNC Asheville round out the tourney field.

That page also has a pretty cool video showing how they turned a Ball Room at the Resort into a basketball court.

To see more of the amazing resort, I would suggest visiting the Atlantis YouTube Page.

"It's an unbelievable opportunity to go against some of the top teams of the country and to be together as a family, as a basketball family, on Thanksgiving," said UMass coach Derek Kellogg. "It's a perfect opportunity. The setup they have down there rivals some of the best tournaments that are going, which is really the Maui tournament."
