Three former Minutemen were a part of the Boston-Charlotte Major League Lacrosse game on Saturday evening as Will Manny (2010-13) and Jack Reid (2003-06) helped the Cannons take a 14-6 game from Jake Smith (2010-13) and the Hounds.
Manny provided three points on two goals and an assist to go with one groundball on attack for Boston. He scored his first goal of the game with six seconds to play in the first quarter. Manny went on to add another goal during the second quarter before he assisted on one tally. Through four games of the 2014 season, Manny has 11 points on six goals and five assists.
Reid helped the Boston defense limit Charlotte to just six goals as the Cannons never trailed during the contest. Four contests into the season, Boston is only allowing 8.25 goals per game.
Smith was on close defense for Charlotte and scooped up two groundballs during the game. Smith has appeared in each of Charlotte's four games this season and has four groundballs so far in his second year playing in MLL.
