Inside Lacrosse: Breakdown Of Brine Media Top-20 Poll

Quint Kessenich broke down his selections for the Inside Lacrosse Media Top-20 teams on Monday and had this to say about UMass, which jumped to No. 11 after its victories over Providence on Tuesday, March 11 and at then-No. 5 Penn State on Saturday, March 15.

"Wins over Providence and Penn State have UMass back on the warpath. That's exactly what you love to see from a team after their first loss. They go back to work, make adjustments, commit to improvement and hit the reset button.

Saturday, Garber's Gorillas picked up a critical CAA win over Penn State, 8-6. Zach Oliveri made 15 stops, he is an All-America honor contender. Stats were even outside of the goalie differential. On Tuesday, Grant Whiteway found paydirt seven times in a 16-11 win over Providence. Connor Mooney chipped in seven points and a dozen different Minutemen got their name in the box score.

UMass is at Fairfield (ECAC) on March 18."

A complete list of who Kessenich voted for and where he placed them in the top-20 along with those on the cusp of joining the rankings is available on Inside Lacrosse's website. Keep up-to-date with the Minutemen through UMassAthletics.com.
