Rob Dauster (@RobDauster) of College Basketball Talk on NBCSports.com has posted a list of the 20 most improved players in the country. UMass junior Cady Lalanne was on his list, which is listed alphabetically. While many would argue Sampson Carter should be on the list, Cady has made steady strides over the past two seasons and is a well-deserved inclusion.
His numbers from last season to this season are:
Year Pts. FG% Reb. Blk.
2012-13 8.4 .554 7.4 1.4
2013-14 15.0 .614 10.4 2.6
Here's what Rob wrote on Cady...
Cady Lalanne, UMass: Lalanne is finally living up to his talent this season, averaging 15.0 points and 10.4 boards as the Minutemen's best interior presence. His emergence is a major reason why UMass will compete for the Atlantic 10 title.
