UMass field hockey won a pair of games over the weekend as the #14 nationally ranked Minutewomen defeated in-state rivals Harvard, 3-0 and #19 Boston College, 4-2. Brooke Sabia continued her offensive onslaught with three goals spread over the contests, including a pair against the Eagles defense. Sabia now owns 14 points on seven goals through five games while the Minutewomen sport a 5-0 record entering the Syracuse University Invitational.

Daily Collegian
reporter Jesse Mayfield Sheehan covered both contests and has a weekend wrap-up detailing the victories.

Molly MacDonnell may have had luck on her side, but it was enough to lift the 14th-ranked Massachusetts field hockey team to a 4-2 win over No. 19 Boston College.

The forward dribbled along the left side of the attack circle and pushed a shot across the front of the net. The ball deflected off an Eagles defender and went into the back of the net for MacDonnell's first goal of the season.

The goal put the Minutewomen back on top, 3-2, in the second half after BC rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie the game at two apiece...
