Brooke Sabia leads the charge on offense for the Minutewomen

Jesse Mayfield Sheehan of the Daily Collegian noted the offensive development of sophomore midfielder Brooke Sabia and the results it has netted the UMass field hockey team through three games of the 2013 season in a recent post. Sabia tallied her second consecutive two-goal performance on Tuesday evening as the Minutewomen defeated UMass-Lowell to improve to 3-0 on the year.

AMHERST, Mass. - After the Massachusetts field hockey team lost its top three goal scorers to graduation last year, there was much speculation about who would step up for the team on offense.

Three games into this season, the team seems to have found a player who can lead the attack. Sophomore midfielder Brooke Sabia recorded her second straight multi-goal game of the season on Tuesday against UMass Lowell, bringing her season total up to a team-leading four goals...
