Former UMass hurler Chad Paronto tossed a gem on Wednesday night, throwing all nine innings as the Pittsfield Colonials earned their first win of the second half with a 10-1 rout of the Quebec Capitales.
Paronto, who is 5-4 on the year, set a career high with nine innings pitched. He scattered 10 hits allowing just one run and tied a career high with nine strikeouts in the contest.
