Franklyn Calle of SLAM Online recently caught up with former UMass star and current Denver Nugget Gary Forbes for a feature and Q & A titled From D-League To The League. Calle focuses on the different obstacles Forbes has overcome on his journey to the NBA. The 2008 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year talks about various topics in the Q & A portion, including his rookie season with the Nuggets, the lockout, his work with the American Diabetes Association, and his plans for the future. When asked what his next step is, Forbes says:
"I've taking a lot of time to focus on my body. I've been taking a lot of yoga classes and been doing stuff differently to try to get ahead of the curb and ahead of everybody. But I think my game is an all-around game. I want to obviously be the best player that I can be but I have a lot to prove and my aspirations are higher then people can imagine. I'm not going to stop until I reach there."
