UMass Alum Mike Corey To Call Two NCAA Lax Games For ESPNU

UMass alum Mike Corey, class of 1999, will be the play-by-play announcer for two NCAA men's lacrosse tournament games on ESPNU this weekend. The former voice of WMUA from 1995-99 will call the games involving the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the tournament. He will broadcast the Saturday night game between Hartford and No. 2 seed Cornell as well as Sunday night's game between No. 1 Syracuse and Siena. 

Corey has been the voice of the Delaware Blue Hens since graduating UMass in 1999, finishing his 12th season as the voice of UD this past season. He has been calling games for ESPNU men's lacrosse package this spring and has worked for NBC Sports during the Olympics.

ESPN Announces Broadcast Teams For All NCAA Tournament Games

For the fifth straight year, ESPN networks will provide exclusive coverage of all 15 games from the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship. Coverage will be in high definition across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU beginning Saturday, May 14, concluding with the national title game on Monday, May 30.

ESPN3.com and ESPN Mobile will also carry select games.

Telecasts will include a deep roster of experienced and knowledgeable lacrosse analysts: Paul Carcaterra (All-American at Syracuse and a member of 1995 National Championship team), Mark Dixon (former Johns Hopkins midfielder), Jack Emmer (former Army head coach and the NCAA's winningest Division I head coach), Quint Kessenich (All-American at Johns Hopkins), Stephen McElduff (former North Carolina defensemen), Matt Ward (former Virginia attackman and 2006 Tewaaraton winner), Jamie Munro (All-American at Brown and former Denver head coach).

Play-by-play announcers include Joe Beninati, Mike Corey, Ben Holden, Eamon McAnaney, Sean McDonough and Anish Shroff
