Sparked by a second half offensive surge, the No. 16 UMass women's lacrosse team pushed past Canisius on Saturday to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The Minutewomen won the NCAA Play-In Game thanks to five points (3 goals, 2 assists) from both Jackie Lyons and Katie Ferris. Ferris now holds the all-time UMass single-season goal record with 55 as the win was UMass' 10th straight.
