Rutgers' Press Release:

The Rutgers University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that Allison Miller has been named Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. A native of Smithfield, R.I., Miller will serve as the primary media relations contact for the Scarlet Knights' women's soccer, women's lacrosse and crew programs, while also working as the secondary contact for men's basketball.
During her tenure "On the Banks," Miller has produced media guides, press releases and game notes, while successfully pitching story ideas and staffing home events. She has written multiple feature stories for football and basketball programs and played a key role in growing new social media platforms for athletics via Facebook and Twitter. She also assisted in the management of the student work staff, a responsibility which will grow in her new role as Assistant Director.
A 2009 graduate of Massachusetts, where she earned a degree in sports management with a minor in education as an honors program student, Miller worked in the Minutemen's media relations department as an undergrad. She assisted in coverage of men's hockey, men's basketball, football and men's and women's lacrosse and was the primary media contact for the women's rowing and men's and women's cross country and track teams.
