The UMass hockey team fell 4-1 last night at Boston College in the first game of the three-game quarterfinal series. The two teams will re-match tonight at Conte Forum (7 PM). Danny Hobbs scored the lone goal for the Minutemen who started the game with great intensity, but after allowing a goal midway through the first period and 14 seconds into the second period, were not able to recover against the top-seeded Eagles.
