Former UMass football head coach Don Brown (2004-08) has been hired as the defensive coordinator at UConn on Friday. It comes a month after he was retained as the defensive coordinator at Maryland after former UConn head coach Randy Edsall was named the Terps' new head coach. Brown made the move to be closer to his family, which still lives in New England.
