"I didn't know Stephane," Rivers said. "I really didn't. I think a week before camp, (general manager) Danny (Ainge) said, `Hey, we're going to bring this guy in. We like him a little bit.' And he's been terrific. We weren't sure what he was. I didn't know whether he was a 3 or a 4. Halfway through camp we weren't sure, and we realized he could play either position. Defensively he's an NBA player right now. There's no doubt about it. he has an NBA IQ, as well. He has to improve his offense."
Lasme is in the mix to make the roster.
"I think he has an excellent chance," Rivers said. "We've got some tough decisions coming up."
