Many former UMass lacrosse players were together last weekend to play in the Lake Placid Classic. The team known as the Garber Gorillas finished in sixth place at the national event. The team was coach by UMass legend Jim McAleavey and featured former Minutemen Bobby Hayes, Brian Danvers, Sean Morris, Chris Doyle, Doc Schneider, Brennan Mack, Tim Balise, Joe Reale, Brian Jacovina, Kevin Wright, Evan Blum, Harold Drumm and assistant coach Kevin Burns. Alum Steve Chambers was also on hand for the event.
